PiKu and Pi-Lines on Pi Day!

Pi Day (3.14) activities in Mrs. Kraus's 3rd grade class at Wilson. Inspired by traditional Japanese Haiku, the students created Pi-Ku poems about their favorite pie, basing the syllables in each line on the number Pi. They also made Pi-Lines (skylines), graphing the digits of Pi on a bar graph of black construction paper to create the skyline and using watercolors to create beautiful backgrounds. So fun and educational! Thank you to Wilson parents Aparna Brunt and Ashley Provenzano for the photos and info!
